Senior Nutrition Program

The Crest Forest Senior Citizens' Club (C.F.S.C.C.) started running the Senior Nutrition Program in 2007 at the request of the County Department of Adult and Aging Services. We are one of thirty seven (37) sites that currently run Nutrition Programs in San Bernardino County.

The program is partially funded through the Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS), and the C.F.S.C.C. is responsible for raising the remaining funds. We have secured grants in the past and continue to search for more. C.F.S.C.C. is a member of MOWAA to qualify and learn of their grants. We have been recipients of awards from various Rotary Clubs in the Mountain as well as Soroptomist.

All individuals, 60 years or older, are welcome to join us at Noon every Tuesday, the 2nd Thursday of the month, and the 4th Thursday of the month at the San Moritz Lodge. We ask the participants consider a 'suggested' donation of $3.00 for each meal. Not all coming to the lunch are able to give.

Tuesday, Feb 20th:  Shepherd Pie, 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables,1/2 cup Mash Potatoes, 1/2 cup Unsweetened apple crisp

Thursday, Feb 22nd:Pork Stir Fry, 1/2 cup Stir fry vegetable egg roll, 1 cup Asian Salad, 1/2 cup Brown rice, Yogurt Parfait

Tuesday, Feb 27th, Chicken Alfredo, Steamed Broccoli, Whole Wheat Roll, Vanilla Pudding w/vanilla Wafer

Thursday, March 8th:  Enchilada Casserole, Pinto Beans, Green Salad, Spanish Brown Rice w/carrot and peas, 1/2 cup o fresh blueberries and canned pineapple

Tuesday, March 13th:   Corned Beef and Cabbage, Veggies, Rye Bread, 40z of Cantaloupe

Tuesday, March 20th:   Meatloaf, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Whole Wheat Roll, 1/2 Cup Tapioca Pudding

Thursday, March 22nd: Fish Soft Tacos, Whole Pinto Beans, Spanish Brown Rice, 1/2 Cup Blueberry and Tangerine Medley

Tuesday, March 27th:    Rosemary Baked Chicken, Roasted Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes, Whole Wheat Roll, Unsweetened Strawberry Shortcake w/ unsweetened Greek yogurt.
