About Us…

We pride ourselves on being a dynamic club that strives to meet the changing needs of the senior population in Crestline and nearby communities. We offer both ongoing weekly activities and special programs, a twice-weekly Senior Nutrition Lunch in the beautiful San Moritz Lodge, and many opportunities to meet new friends and socialize with old ones.

Membership in the Crest Forest Senior Citizen’s Club is open to anyone age 50 and over. The membership dues are only $20 per year.

In addition to the activities of the Club, our Clubhouse “Leisure Shores” is available for use and is an affordable venue for small- to mid-sized gatherings. Kitchen facilities can also be provided for your event. Membership in the Club is not required for use of our facilities. Learn more about Leisure Shores here.

Our History

Originally called “The Friendly Neighbors Club of Crestline”, the Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club was formally begun on December 16, 1959. 80 guests were in attendance as the first officers were installed for the following year. Irene Armstrong, then President of the Crest Forest Women’s Club, had voiced her concerns that a Senior Citizens’ Club was needed in Crestline. She was very instrumental in organizing the Club and served on its Board of Directors for 12 years.

The first Club meeting was held the following month. President John Quinn shepherded the Club through its incorporation, which took place on March 15, 1960. With incorporation as a 501 (c) (3) organization, the Club changed its name to the Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club. At the end of its first year, membership had grown to 150 and the Club was solidly planted within the Crestline community.

Other Crestline organizations have given us support at our founding and ever since, including the Crestline Resorts Chamber of Commerce, the San Bernardino Board of Supervisors, The Lake Gregory Company, the Lions Club of Crestline, Goodwin and Sons Market, the Crestline-Lake Gregory Rotary Club, Regional Parks and Recreation, and many, many others. The Club continues to be a vibrant participant in the life of Crestline and surrounding communities.
