SENIOR NUTRITION LUNCHES

The Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club (CFSCC) started running the Senior Nutrition Program in 2007 at the request of the County Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS). We are one of thirty-seven (37) sites that currently run Nutrition Programs in San Bernardino County.

The program is partially funded through DAAS and the CFSCC is responsible for raising the remaining funds. We have secured grants in the past, and continue to search for more. CFSCC is a member of Meals on Wheels America to qualify for and learn of their grants. We have been recipients of various awards from local Rotary Clubs and Soroptomist.

All individuals 60 years and older are welcome to join us every Tuesday and Thursday at Noon at the San Moritz Lodge, 24640 San Moritz Dr. in Crestline. We ask participants to consider a suggested $3 contribution for the meal; this helps us cover those who are not in a position to contribute, and pays for items not covered by our funding.

Get ready for fun, socializing, and a great meal!

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON

Every fourth Wednesday we host a membership luncheon where club members can catch up on club news, events and activities, meet friends, and sample fine potluck cuisine. Luncheons are usually themed, such as our popular chili cookoff, and are occasionally catered. Sometimes we have a guest speaker from the community, such as The Lake Gregory Company, Mountain Transit, or local historian Russ Keller.

SPECIAL EVENTS

At least once a month, often more, we have a special event. It might be a trip on the Duffy Boats on Lake Gregory, a speaker on Medicare, or a larger event like our annual “Stuff Your Spud” fund-raiser. With all of our activities and events, there’s always something going on at Leisure Shores!

Friday, November 1st is BINGO NIGHT! Doors open at 5 pm; 1st game is at 6 pm. Cash only, please.
